سيتم إغلاق الإصدار الصيني من لعبة الفيديو الشهيرة ” فورتنايت (Fortnite)” هذا الشهر، حيث ستتوقف اللعبة عن قبول التسجيلات الجديدة للاعبين. وبذلك، لن تكون متاحة للتنزيل اعتبارًا من يوم الاثنين الموافق ل 2 نوفمبر وفقًا لبيان نشرته على موقعها عبر الإنترنت. إذ سيتم إغلاق خوادمها في الصين اعتبارًا من 15 نوفمبر القادم. مما يشير إلى أن اللاعبين لن يكونوا قادرين على تسجيل الدخول إلى اللعبة بعد هذا التاريخ.

أصبحت اللعبة ظاهرة ثقافية منتشرة بكثرة حيث استضافت العام الماضي عروضًا موسيقية لفنانين مثل مارشميلو، وترافيس سكوت، بالإضافة إلى ثلاثة أفلام للمخرج “كريستوفر نولان”. لذلك فإن قرار إيقافها في الصين سيشكّل صدمةً كبيرةً. إلا أن الإعلان الذي نشر هذا الأسبوع وصف لعبة فورتنايت في الصين بأنها نسخة تجريبية، متشكرًا جميع اللاعبين الصينيين الذين شاركوا في هذا الإصدار.
