أوقفت شركة “ياهو (Yahoo)” فرص الوصول إلى خدماتها في الصين، لتصبح أحدث شركة تقنية أمريكية تخرج من البلاد. إذ ذكر متحدث باسم ياهو في بيان له أن الشركة أوقفت أعمالها وانسحبت من الصين اعترافًا منها بالبيئة التجارية والقانونية متزايدة الصعوبة هناك. هذا وستظل “ياهو (Yahoo)” ملتزمة بحقوق مستخدميها وبإنترنت مجاني ومفتوح، متشكرةً جميع مستخدميها على دعمهم لها.

وكانت العديد من ميزات ياهو قد اختفت وانتهت صلاحية الوصول إليها في الصين منذ عام 2013، بما في ذلك البريد الإلكتروني والأخبار. وفي عام 2015، أغلقت ياهو مكتبها في بكين وألغت عمل ما يقارب 300 موظف. وبذلك، تنضم ياهو إلى شبكة لينكد إن الاجتماعية والتي أعلنت الشهر الماضي أنها ستترك الصين بسبب بيئة العمل التي باتت صعبةً أكثر، إضافةً إلى التحديات والمتطلبات الكبيرة التي ينبغي أن تخضع لها الشركات في الصين.
